Is it a camp if you don’t stay the night?

When Dave Winer posted the teaser for HyperCamp last night, I thought he was planning something like BrainJams. Turns out I was wrong, it’s more like a blogger LAN party. Come to think of it, what with all the WiFi issues these camps, conferences, unconferences, parties, presentations, etc. have been having, would a LAN be such a bad idea? I know it’s not the new 2.0 hotness, but it works. Then again, maybe people would miss that warm fuzzy part-of-the-private-beta feeling they get when their connection crashes…
